Chapter 1: Summer Program at Brewster Academy (6/13/2011 - 8/26/2011)
Arrival at NH
According to my scholarship, I have to attend a summer program at Brewster Academy for 11 weeks. During this program, I learn about American culture and prepare for the upcoming preparatory school. Brewster Academy is located in Wolfeboro, a small tranquil town, in New Hampshire. In this period of my journey, I encounter many new experience as it is my first time here in the States. Wolfeboro and the school have many features that I have never seen before.
Wolfeboro is a very small town. I was very astonished when I arrived this town. This town is completely opposite from what I expected from America. I always dream that America has very advanced technology but Wolfeboro has no technology at all; I cannot even find an Apple® Shop here. All I can find is forest and the lake Winnipesaukee. However, I discover that this twon has much to explore. Both forest and the lake are very different from those in Thailand. The temperate climate makes the forest has some attractive features which I cannot find in Thai forest. The lake Winnipesaukee also contributes to picturesque scenery of the town. I always find many thing new to examine. I also have a lot of free time since it is still in summer program when there is not much academic focus.

P.S. I start to write in this Blog about 5 weeks after I arrive because I just have the mood to create the blog at this time.
Boat observed that twno should be town.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by that "there is not much academic focus"? I and Boat think that we study quite a lot. This is so fun commenting your journal.
I and Boat probably are the only two followers.
